We had some amazing entries sent in on Facebook and Instagram from previous winners, first timers and seasoned pros! A lot of you flocked to our free beach themed coloring page last month to catch a few rays of sun. Thank you to everyone that entered, it was particularly hard choosing a winner as there were so many examples of fantastic coloring!
Let’s stroll along the sand and enjoy a few of our favourites…
Mommidani sent this bright and cheerful page to us on Instagram.
The colors go really well together and definitely make you feel like you are enjoying a spot of “Beach Therapy”!
Karma Wagner Lewis sent in a poetic and poignant entry with her tribute to the victims of 9/11.
Using gel-pens and a patriotic red, white and blue color scheme Karma’s coloring page really stands proud! Beautiful.
Caroline Japp McGrory showed that a soft background can really add to the finish of a coloring page.
It is difficult to tell if this was accomplished using pastels brushed across the page or perhaps with watercolor, but the subtle blue and green of the sky is wonderful!
Last month’s winner, Debbie Yip, shared another great example of her coloring skill in this superbly balanced page.
The blending of the colors in this piece is stunning. Definitely a beach house we’d like to visit!
Angela Stones shows us a great example of a monochrome color palette in her piece.
Blue is a go to choice for any page themed around the ocean and Angela shows us how using varying shades of the same color can produce a fresh and striking design. We love the shimmer effect created through careful shading of the kite tail and waves. Great work!
Riding the crest of a wave…
Our winner this month is Tia Maria Nunn. Her page has a wonderful choice of color to make us feel like we are taking a midnight stroll at the beach!
This page has a beautiful sky backdrop created using acrylic paints with silver gel pens adding a little sparkle to the page. There is a real warmth created by the deep purples and bold pink – great job Tia!
Over to you!
