The free Heart and Home coloring challenge for January had a record number of entries and it has been wonderful to see pictures from all ages and abilities. The creativity and different coloring styles used are amazing to see and as usual we have picked some of our favourite entries, along with the winner, at the end of the post.
Ruffle some feathers!
This month Steve from Jeggle Illustration wanted to ruffle some feathers with the free coloring page for the February Challenge!
You may be next month’s winner…
We hope you enjoy the character these birds are showing and look forward to see what you come up with! All it needs is your own creativity, a splash of great coloring, a slogan of your choice and you may have next month’s winner on your hands!
The coloring challenge deadline is March 12th and is open to everyone, any age or ability are welcome. Our favorites will be showcased next month and Jeggle will pick a winner.
Welcome Home – Our Favorite Coloring from January
We had a 6 year old enter on Instagram and some first time adult colorists on Facebook. There were entries from familiar names and winners of our past competitions alongside first time entrants! Thank you to everyone who took the time to color and post their pictures. Some of our favorites are showcased below.
Anny Mayor used some nice pastel shades with her coloring pencils and the lettering for “Home Sweet Home” is super cute.
Carmen Prescott’s entry was bold and beautiful! I really like the accents on the white hearts and the lettering for Love is fabulous!
We had some great two tone shading on the houses from Denise Russell Ordoyne. I love the bright red strip of bricks paired with the darker shade. Great work Denise!
Elinor Fernandez helped the houses in the heart stand out by using some nice darker shading around the edges to lift the design from the page. The clever shading on the edge of the larger pendant really adds dimension to the heart.
Marsha Bouters also had fun with the large heart pendant using some great colors for the houses and the striped outline on the pendant is a brilliant touch!
Our coloring challenge winner for this month is…
Sophie Florence! She has shown a variety of techniques in her page and managed to make them all work together to create a stunning page. I love the blended houses and the extra details on the pendant edges and chains are wonderful. Well done Sophie – brilliant work!
Over to you!
